Jon Prior
Partner, Numera Advisory
Resolves the technical accounting problems that hold up a transaction or a close.
Jon has spent 19+ years in technical accounting and audit leadership. His approach is pragmatic, open-minded, and rooted in accounting guidance. Clients bring him challenging accounting and finance issues, and he helps companies manage and execute their most complex accounting workstreams so they can reach their financial objectives.
Technical accounting
His technical work covers accounting for M&A transactions, leasing transactions of all types, and stock compensation, and the reporting built on top of them.
Close and reporting process improvement
He leads process improvement work on the GL close and on internal and external reporting workstreams, where the problem is usually the sequence rather than the standard.
Experience
Jon spent more than twelve years at PwC, most recently as an Audit Director, leading large teams and concurrent workstreams. He advised public and private real estate companies across commercial, multifamily, retail, and senior housing on equity and debt offerings, 10-K and 10-Q compliance, and COSO-based internal control environments.
He is a CPA in Florida and is based in Tampa.
